Juneau Tourism Management Plan

Activity 3 - Tourism Management Methods and Lessons Learned in Other Destinations

In any tourism planning process, it is very instructive to consider tourism management methods and experience in managing similar issues in other destinations world-wide. This is not only applicable to the technicians. It is also important to place before open public planning processes to raise awareness of approaches, methodologies, issues and concerns that may indeed be shared by other locations. The team will assemble brief case studies and document methods and lessons learned for use in the public consultation process as well as for background information in the development of the tourism management plan.

Status: To be concluded in July, 2001. Further input will be included in later stages.
