Juneau Tour Operators Best Management Practices 2002
The Best Management Practices program is intended to minimize the impacts of tourism in a manner which addresses both residents' and industry concerns. These practices, however, do not replace applicable city, state, or federal regulations. By actively participating in this voluntary program, operators demonstrate their commitment to address important community concerns. Residents can help operators monitor the success of this program by providing feedback via the Tourism Comments Message Line (586-6774) or email us at Tourism@ci.juneau.ak.us.
The CBJ Tourism Specialist is responsible for monitoring the tourism comments message line and passing the messages onto the applicable tourism operator. The message line is monitored twice daily between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, May through September. If you need immediate assistance from a tourism operator or after CBJ business hours, please call the tourism operator.
