PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER - Continuous Opening JPD Public Safety Emergency Dispatchers provide dispatching and call-taking functions to law enforcement, fire service, and other public agencies. They handle all radio traffic from the public, business community, and public agencies. Both positions require multitasking skills to handle complex situations; follow complex written and oral instructions; and independently determine the priority and method of performing the work. They answer and prioritize 911 emergency and nonemergency telephone calls, when needed.
Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years of age at time of appointment; AND A High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Customer service experience is also required. Click on the CBJ Human Resources link below to view job descriptions and fill out an application.
