Q. Why are warrants issued, and subsequently sqwashed? Especially over and over again?
Dear Juneau Resident,
Warrants can be quashed for a variety of reasons but there are a few common scenarios. People may find out they have a warrant or figure he or she has a warrant because of missing an obligation. The person turns themselves in at court and the warrant is quashed. Another common situation is a person is not in compliance with community work service or substance abuse treatment or fines and gets a warrant. Then the person gets into compliance prior to the warrant being served and the warrant is quashed.
