Ask a Dispatcher
Q. I read in the Juneau Empire. Sunday November 23rd 2012
That a rather nitorious resident was stopped for driving with out a liscense.
Yet it wasn't posted in JPD's Daily Bulliten.
How can the Empire have this public information.
When I called them this summer on another lack of information regarding some
Drug bust they said they get their information from you
So which is it?
Dear Juneau Resident,
November 23rd is a Friday and shows 25 year old Kristopher Nelson was charged with driving without a license. That case is listed in the November 22nd JPD bulletin. The Empire gets the bulletin the same way the public does, when it's posted on the website. The Sunday paper shows four driving without licenses cases. If you think one of those was missed in the bulletins please call JPD's non-emergency line and start with someone in the Records division to see if they can help you. If that person doesn't have the information he or she will pass you on to a supervisor.
