Ask a Dispatcher
Q. Just a few quick questions, is it legal for non-residents to carry a concealed firearm, assuming they are legally allowed to possess one? And are they allowed to carry concealed fixed blade knives, or do the knives have to be carried n the open? Thank you!
Dear Juneau Resident,
Residents and non-residents have to obey the law of the land the person is in so if you are over 21 you can carry either concealed with some restrictions. If you are a convicted felon that changes, of course. You have to mention either one immediately if contacted by an officer. If you are carrying either concealed you need to stay away from schools, childcare facilities, homes of people who have not given permssion, courts, federal buildings, liquor stores, bars, and not be impaired by substances.
