Planning Commission

Welcome to the Juneau Planning Commission Web Site

What we do:

The Planning Commission reviews and updates the Comprehensive Plan and Capital Improvement Program, as well as City projects.  The Commission also reviews private and public development plans for compliance with adopted City plans such as the Land Use Code.  Also, the Commission functions as the Board of Adjustments in reviewing Variances and Code interpretations.

Who we are:

The Planning Commission consists of 9 citizens who have a background or interest in Community Development.  Commissioners are appointed by the Assembly for terms of 3 years.

Meeting Schedule:

Planning Commission meets on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday, every month at 7 pm in the Assembly Chambers in City Hall.
