The Consent Agenda includes items of business which may not require separate discussion.  When the Chairman calls for public comment on the Consent Agenda, you may raise your hand and the Chairman will recognize you asking which item(s) you wish to have removed from the Consent Agenda for separate discussion and action.  Following removal of any item from the Consent Agenda, the Planning Commission votes on the remaining items in one motion.

  • Deals with: Wetland permits, Planning Commission recommendation on JCMP and JWMP policies, and other advisory duties as a quasi-judicial body.

 

• Subdivision Review Committee
  • 4 members
  • Meets upon request of CBJ Planner as applications come in
  • Current Members: Bruce (Chair), Satre, Waterman, VACANT
  • Deals with: Preliminary review of major subdivision pre-applications, as a means of acquiring all pertinent information before the public hearing process

• Public Works & Facilities Committee
  • 1 member
  • Meets Mondays, as scheduled by the CBJ Engineering Department
  • Current Member: Bruce
  • Deals with: issues related to transportation and utilities infrastructures of the CBJ and its Capital Improvement Program with recommendations to the Borough Assembly for action.

• Land Committee

  • Meets on Mondays, as scheduled by the Lands and Resources Department
  • Current Member: Waterman
  • Deals with:  issues related to lands, water, or air within the CBJ, with recommendations to the Borough Assembly for action.

 

• Title 49 Committee

  • Deals with: The update of the Title 49 Land Use Code

The following item, previously advertised for this Planning Commission hearing, has been postponed for a later date, to be announced.

TXT2006-00008    An amendment to Title 49, the Land Use Code, to add cruise ship berthing and lightering as a specific use under Sec.49.65 Specified Use Provisions.  This amendment defines cruise ship berthing and lightering and its permitting process.  It establishes an overlay district where this use is permitted, and creates a procedure for amending the overlay district boundary.
