CBJ only accepts applications for positions currently being announced by a Job Announcement.

Positions that are announced are open for a minimum of five working days. Each announcement lists the recruitment period and where applications are to be submitted. All applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. (Alaska Time) on the closing date.

You may supplement your application with a resume, copies of certificates, college transcripts or other information you feel is pertinent. Without a complete application we will not be able to accept other documents which indicate your interest.

The application must be signed.

We are now accepting completed applications via email. They must be submitted according to the instructions provided here in order to be considered.

If you wish to email your application, use the Word Document (above), attach it to your email transmission and send it to Employment@ci.juneau.ak.us with the additional documents requested in the Job Announcement.

The email message with your attachment(s) must contain a brief explanation in the main body of the email to include the following:

Applications submitted any other way will not be considered.

For MOST job announcements, if an applicant is submitting an electronic application and is unable to attach the required additional documentation as spelled out in the Job Announcement, they must be prepared to bring those documents to the interview.

However, PLEASE read the individual job postings carefully, for some positions, applicants must submit the required documentation by the application deadline in order to be considered further.

Applicants submitting electronic applications will be asked to complete an Applicant Certification in lieu of the signed application. The Applicant Certification form will be provided to applicants at the interview.

Failure to attach required document(s) will result in an incomplete application.  Incomplete applications are not a valid response to a job posting and the person submitting the incomplete application will not be considered for the opening unless all missing materials are submitted by the closing date for the job announcement.

Please follow these guidelines:

Submit your employment application by 4:30 p.m. (Alaska Time) on the closing date. Electronic applications must also meet the closing date deadline and be received via email by 4:30 p.m. (Alaska Time) on the closing date.
