Picnic Shelters Reservations
The Parks & Recreation Department takes reservations for the Spring and Summer season -- Mid-April through Mid-September.We will accept shelter reservations by fax, mail, email, or walk-in.
Reservations may be made in person at the Juneau Parks & Recreation office, located on the second floor of the Municipal Building (155 South Seward Street) or by fax. We do not accept reservations over the phone.
Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis and need to be made at least three (3) days prior to date of shelter use. You may call Parks & Recreation for shelter availability at 586-5226.
Fees must be collected at the time of reservation
Electricity: Savikko #1 & #2 and Twin Lakes Shelter is set on a timer from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m.
Park Hours: Open from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight.
Fires in parks
All shelters are ADA accessible-Cope Shelter is some what difficult to maneuver to.
First Come - First Serve Facilities
The following parks have picnic areas available on a first-come, first-served basis. Parks & Recreation does not take reservations for these areas.
