Volunteer Positions

Reception desk volunteers, collection assistants, office helpers, committee members, researchers, computer assistants, education docents, and volunteer coordinators are needed year-round at the City Museum for daily operation and special projects and programs.

Many of our volunteers not only work in several areas at the museum, they are also donors to our permanent collection.

The Juneau-Douglas City Museum welcomes volunteer staff with museum benefits such as discounts in the Museum's gift shop and an annual admission pass, tour opportunities, space available opportunities for Museum classes and special programs, Museum newsletters, volunteer recognition events, CPR training, and the opportunity to learn more about the history and culture of the greater Juneau area.
