JULY 3RD An evening of festivities hosted by Capital City Celebration leading up to the grand finale of fireworks!
Ball games in the early evening in Douglas.
Capital City Celebrations Picnic in conjunction with the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council's Concert in the Park at Marine Park, downtown Juneau, 5:30-7:30pm.
Let's Dance! with The Diamonds, Centennial Hall 8:30-11:45 p.m. Tickets available at Hearthside Books & Miners Postal.
Fireworks following the dance.
JULY 4TH 50th Anniversary of Alaska Statehood Celebration July 4th Flag Raising, Juneau-Douglas City Museum, 9 a.m. Reenactment of the 1959 flag raising & ringing of the bell 49 times to signify Alaska's place as the 49th state in the Union. Reception directly following on Museum lawn.
Capitol open from 9 a.m. - Noon
Juneau 4th of July Parade begins at Noon
Douglas 4th of July Parade begins at 3:00 p.m.
