Juneau Hike Program

General Information

Recreational hikers of all abilities are welcome to join in and experience Juneauís gold mine of exciting trail lore, wildlife, flora and fauna. Hikes are offered every Wednesday and Saturday by volunteer hike leaders who educate while they lead. Hike leaders are certified in CPR and first aid. Explore some of Juneauís history as you travel over trails once used by the gold miners of the late 1800s and early 1900s. Enjoy the spectacular scenery, beautiful wildflowers and good company. No dogs or firearms, please. Information will be on the Parks and Recreation Department (586-0428). For more detailed information, call the Parks and Recreation Office during regular business hours.

A special thank you to volunteer hike leaders and those persons who helped put this schedule together: Daisy Davenport, Ed Mills, Linda Mills, Geraldine Straty, Robert Garrison, Mary Zahn, Carolyn Gould, Bob Armstrong, Chris Smyth and Laurie Lamm.
