Douglas Facilities

Savikko Park -- (sometimes referred to as Sandy Beach) At the very end of Douglas Hwy,
on Third Street. Soft sandy landings! Ball games to watch, volleyball, historic trails, and long
shallow beaches, soccer fields,
softball fields, a climbing structure, infant and regular
swings, play structure, and covered shelters. This
park also includes two rest rooms and drinking fountains. [MAP]
Douglas Mini Park -- Located at the end of
4th Street has a grill and table and is available for free
public use. [MAP]
Homestead Park -- is a scenic lookout with a good view of
downtown Juneau and consists of a series of stairs and platforms
with benches. It is a popular place for picture taking. It is midway
between the bridge and Savikko Park on the channel side of the street. [MAP]
Bonnie Brae Park (North Douglas) -- Wee Burn at Sherri
Street. This park contains a swing set, a colorful climbing
structure with a tube and regular slides. [MAP]

West Juneau Rotary Park -- Playground to be finished by mid summer
