The Juneau Parks & Recreation Youth Sports program provides a healthy recreational and social learning experience for children. Fun and sportsmanship are emphasized! Programs include Start Smart (an interactive skills learning program for ages three and four), Indoor and Outdoor Youth Soccer and Basketball for ages 5-18.
The Adult Sports program provides opportunities for physical exercise, socializing and a place to have fun! Programs include men's and women's volleyball, Ordway basketball, women's classic basketball and coed volleyball. Come join the fun!

The Dimond Park Aquatic Center is scheduled to open in early 2011. The 40,000 square foot facility features a recreational pool and a slide, zero entry area for toddlers and youth with water features, a lazy river for fun and aerobic walking and exercise, a sauna and 8 lap lanes. Swimming lessons, 'dive in' movie nights and diverse programming will be offered. An event room can be rented to host birthday parties, meetings and black tie events! The Augustus Brown Swimming Pool houses two pools, a larger pool for lap swimming and a smaller pool for lessons and recreational swimming. There is also a sauna and an exercise area. Swimming classes are offered. Save money and order an annual pass!
Rentals available for birthday parties, basketball, soccer, volleyball, dancing, karate and kickball. The possibilities are endless. The gym is open the day after Labor Day through April 30 yearly. Call 586-5226 for availability.
The Zach Gordon Youth Center is a social, cultural and recreational hub for youth age 7 to 21. The Center sponsors recreational tournaments, affordable summer camps, cultural activities and social services for youth. The center has pool and ping pong, a weight room, parenting center, climbing wall, racquetball court, a new covered basketball court/play area, an outdoor stage, landscaping and fire pit for special events, music and poetry slams. The Pipeline Skate Park is located at the Jackie Renninger Park. The Skate Park offers a variety of street skate features and half quarter pipes. Come to the Pipeline and throw down your skate tricks!
The City Museum houses continually changing exhibits that are always educational and entertaining. The museum collects, preserves, interprets, and exhibits those materials that document the cultures and history of the Juneau and Douglas area. Call 586-3572 for more information.
