Carly Keene, whose name is inspired by the pen name of the author of Nancy Drew books, is a spunky young Alaskan who is caught up in the adventure of a book lover's lifetime. She and her friend Francesca are magically sent back in time to 1846 where she meets a young woman named Charlotte Bronte, who is trying to compose one of the greatest books ever written....Jane Eyre. It's as much as a spunky 21st century girl can handle, but if anyone can brave the Brontes, it's Carly Keene. (01:00 PM-Douglas Library)Thu, 07 Aug 2014 16:23:53 -0800
