Reference Services

Telephone reference is available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 12 noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 586-5267.

A computerized catalog is available for your use. You will find it simple to search for any title, author, or subject available from the Capital City Libraries. Instructions and a reference librarian are available to introduce you to the online catalog.

All three libraries provide reference materials, including encyclopedias, almanacs, auto repair manuals, consumer information, magazines, newspapers, selected out-of-town newspapers, selected out-of-town telephone books, and local government documents. Published information on current local issues is available at all libraries.

Business and financial resources include: Value Line, Wall Street Journal, Standard & Poor on CD Rom, Morningstar, and Barron's.

The Juneau Public Library is an affiliate of the Foundation Center and maintains a special collection for grant seekers engaged in funding research and proposal writing.
