Dust Bowl Girls is well written, well researched, and the history part of it -- particularly the part about how President Hoover's wife was instrumental in the dumbing down of girl sports -- was something I didn't know about before. Great stories about girls coming from Depression-era farms to the basketball court, and a striking history of girls in competitive sports in the United States.
Enlightening, and a good read, especially the historical information.
