The Juneau Public Libraries subscribe to NoveList from Ebsco. This readers’ advisory guide to fiction will help you decide what to read next, help you pick books for your book club, and help you guide your children’s reading.
NoveList contains information on fiction books for all ages including picture books, children’s chapter books, young adult titles, and books for adult readers. The database offers enhanced subject access to over 96,000 fiction titles using 32,000 different subject headings and contains reviews, summaries, or annotations for over 58,000 titles.
Among the things that NoveList can do:
Match a Favorite Author -- Find more books by that author or find other authors who write similar books.
Match a Favorite Title – Find similar titles.
Describe a Plot – Enter a genre type, location, time period, character type, theme, or subject.
Browse Subjects – NoveList will find titles that match subject words.
Explore Fiction – NoveList contains thousands of subject and theme oriented booklists.
Explore Best Books – NoveList contains list of award-winning books from many major book awards.
