Downtown Family Night

First Thursdays @ 5:30pm

Juneau Library - September through May

Downtown Family Night is a great chance for the whole family to enjoy the library.  Each month JPL brings in a guest speaker from the community to provide an informative and entertaining experience for young and old.

 

A light supper is provided as are themed crafts, in addition to the stories and presentation by the guest. 

 

 

Preschool Family Night

Third Thursdays @ 5:30pm

Valley Library - November through March

Preschool Family Night is a great chance for pre-schoolers and their families to enjoy the library.  November through March, the library and thread/AEYC-SEA (the Association for the Education of Young Children- Southeast Alaska) pair up with a community partner to provide a fun and educational experience for young and old. Past partners have included Gastineau Humane Society, the Raptor Center, and Arrow Refuse. Parent Education is a new feature of this program.

 

A light supper is provided as are themed crafts, stories and a presentation from the partner.  Each child attending receives a free book to take home.
