Don D. Statter Harbor/Auke Bay
Statter Harbor is located in Auke Bay, Alaska, a short distance from the Alaska Marine Highway System ferry terminal. Statter Harbor’s location provides easy access to local restaurants, a library, laundry and shower services, a post office, and the Capital City Transit bus lines for easy travel. Statter is primarily a transient harbor that gets all kinds of patrons: fishermen, charter operators, local boat-owners, live-aboards that call Statter home, and larger sailing and pleasure yachts.
Statter Harbor has a maximum transient capacity of approximately 324 vessels. It is a small harbor that has a lot of traffic due to the ideal location for local fishing and wildlife observation opportunities. In addition to the transient spaces, we also have 70 stalls for permanent moorage. Please see the Statter Harbor Layout Map for details on where transients may moor. We can accommodate vessels of any size, but we do not take reservations unless the vessel is over 50’. Please see Statter Harbor Breakwater Reservations for rates and rules. Please note that Statter Harbor is a small but popular harbor; due to the amount of traffic we receive, the 10-day movement rule is enforced for transient boaters in the harbor from May 1st-October 1st to perpetuate traffic flow within the harbor. Please abide the 10-day movement rule if you are going to be in Statter for longer than a 10-day period.
Our harbor officers monitor all channels and the switch to/working channel is 74.
