2010 Filing Changes

2010 Business Personal Property Cover Memo Clarification / Correction notice To Merchants doing business in CBJ:
Only the following merchants received the annual long form business personal property return packet;

Merchants filing for the first time
Merchants reporting Business Personal Property in the City and Borough of Juneau with an assessed value greater than $80,000.

Property Assessment Appeal Inspections

If you have filed a property assessment appeal with the Assessor's Office and you have not been contacted to schedule a property inspection appointment, please call 586-5220 to set-up an appointment. The Assessor's Office will schedule a mutually agreeable time to inspect the appealed property.

Business Personal Property Forms and Instructions:

Business Personal Property Appeal Form

January 31 - filing deadline for Business Personal Property Declarations and attachments. The CBJ Code provides no extension for the filing deadline.

Exemption forms for Community Purpose, Export Manufacturing, and Non-Profit Organizations are available from the Assessor's Office, located at 155 South Seward Street, Room 114, and are due January 31.
