CBJ Accepts Payments over the Internet or Via Telephone by Credit Card through Official Payments Corp.
The City and Borough of Juneau has signed a service agreement with Official Payments Corp. which enables Juneau taxpayers and consumers to pay their real estate tax, business personal property tax, sales tax, utility, ambulance and other specific accounts receivable bills by credit card over the Internet [www.officialpayments.com] or via telephone (800-272-9829) through Official Payment's systems. To pay by telephone, you will be asked for the Jurisdiction Code. The Jurisdiction Code for CBJ is 1202. Please note that the Internet payment system is much quicker and more user friendly than the telephone system.
Official Payments Corp. charges taxpayers and consumers a convenience fee for processing these credit card transactions. The fee schedule can be found on the Internet at [www.officialpayments.com]. For example, a taxpayer who owes a current balance of $1,000 in real estate taxes and charges their taxes will find a total of $1,035 on their credit card statement: $1,000 for the tax bill and $35 for the convenience fee.
For detailed information or assistance, please contact the Treasurer's Office at (907) 586-5261. The Treasurer's Office will not accept the credit card payment, but can provide assistance.
