Joan Roomsberg, Sales Tax Administrator

Joan Roomsburg was born and raised in Michigan. She has two grown sons and one grandson.

Joan has lived in New London, Connecticut, Astoria, Oregon, and Sitka, Alaska before arriving in Juneau. After her children were in school full time, she worked a year for the construction division of the Kennecott Greens Creek mine until it started production. She then moved to the State of Alaska, Department of Revenue, Tax division where she worked to ensure companies compliance with the various taxes administered by the department. She came to CBJ as the Sales Tax Administrator in 1994.
