Bob Bartholomew, Finance Director

Robert “Bob” Bartholomew, a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Business Administration - emphasis in accounting, brings over 24 years of finance and management experience to the City.

Bob began his career in the private sector in Anchorage, as a CPA with a national accounting firm. From there, he moved to Juneau for senior management roles with the Department of Transportation & Public Facilities, Department of Revenue, and the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation. Additionally, Bob was the initial project manager on City’s transition from its antiquated computer information system to two updated, more modern, enterprise-wide systems.

Bob and his wife, Kaye Kanne, have three grown children, three grandchildren, and a black lab. Bob and Kaye travel to Anchorage frequently to spend time their two sons, and two of the three grandchildren. Their daughter, newest grandbaby, and dog all live locally.
