Rorie Watt, Director of Engineering
Rorie Watt arrived in Juneau in 1992 and has been working for the CBJ
Engineering Department since 1993. He started out as a seasonal inspector
and gradually worked his way up to Director in 2008. Rorie is a first
generation American, is the son of Scottish immigrants. He graduated from
Cornell University with a degree in Operations Research and Industrial
Engineering and became a licensed Civil Engineer in Alaska in 2001.
Prior to working for the CBJ, Watt was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra
Leone and worked for different social service organizations.
