02-14-2016 06:28:39: No new snow, but the upper half of the mountain and the bowls continue to ski really well. Overnight the temperature at the top cooled down slightly and that should firm things up a bit off the groomed runs. Lower down and as the morning warms up a bit, things should soften again to super fun spring-like corn snow.

Temperature at the top of the mountain is 31 degrees with winds averaging 15 mph, 36 at the base with light winds at 5 mph, clouds with little to no precipitation expected through the morning.

Porcupine, Hooter, and Ptarmigan lifts start loading at 9:00 AM this morning, Black Bear at 9:30.

With the limited and softening snow cover on the lower mountain, the grooming crew is paring back their daily to-do list, but have touched up a few of the normal weekend runs. The “groomer of the day” is Marmot – accessed from the Black Bear lift, it is a nice and consistent pitch, has great snow coverage, and is well groomed today for smooth and ripping turns.

All mountain services are open.

The thought for Valentine’s Day is this – “Can I borrow a kiss? I promise I’ll give it back.”
