Lower Nordic Loop Improvements

The Lower Nordic Loop has several stream crossings that tend to erode the snow during the season. A grant from the Alaska Trails Initiative was received to culvert the stream crossings and remove some of the sharp corners on the lower loop.

As of May 6 we are waiting on a permit from the Army Corps of Engineers. Once we have this permit, work will begin on installation of culverts.

To help with the installation of the culverts as well as hauling rock and doing other trail work, we have purchased a Morooka, an all terrain vehicle which should be here by the end of May.
