Eaglecrest Board Announces General Manager Change
Juneau, AK – September 13 - The Eaglecrest Board of Directors previously announced General Manager, Ray Gardner is unable to fill the position. Due to an unexpected family emergency, Mr. Gardner has had to decline the position and will not be coming to Juneau as planned. Fortunately, the extensive search process conducted by the Eaglecrest Board identified an equally qualified candidate in Matt Lillard, who has accepted the position as the Eaglecrest General Manager.
Mr. Lillard is currently the Assistant General Manager and Marketing Director for Magic Mountain Ski Area in Vermont. He holds a degree in Applied Economics and Business Management; comes with a strong financial background and has over 10 years experience in ski area management. Prior to working at Magic Mountain, Mr. Lillard worked at Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont.
“As we noted earlier, we had two really top notch candidates” said Wayne Stevens, President of the Eaglecrest Board. “Matt has extensive experience in ski area management as well as strong public relations and marketing skills. We look forward to Mr. Lillard joining us this weekend and welcome him to Juneau”
Lillard will be in Juneau for Discover Eaglecrest Day on September 17 and then return to join the Eaglecrest team on November 1. He replaces Kirk Duncan, General Manager for the past six years who has taken on the position of Director of Public Works for the City and Borough of Juneau.
