Description: Reviews and proposes amendments to the building code. The Community Development Department provides staff to the committee.

Membership: 5 members representing to the extent possible: Architects, Electrical Engineers, Civil Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Contractors.

Special Facts: While the term expiration dates for this board occur in November on a rotating 3-year cycle, the annual report which is usually done at the time of the annual appointments, is in fact scheduled to occur in June in accordance with Resolution 1130. Both the CBJ Building Codes Official Charlie Ford and the CBJ Fire Marshal Dan Jager provide staff support to the Building Code Advisory Committee.
