Office of the City Clerk![]() Beth McEwen, Deputy ClerkBeth McEwen was born Elizabeth Coon in Bellflower, California and moved to Juneau in 1975 with her parents, and three older siblings. While in Juneau, Beth attended elementary school, middle school, and graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in 1984. She attended UAS, graduating with an Associate of Liberal Arts degree in 1987. Beth has two sons who reside in Juneau. Beth began working in the public sector in 1988 when she worked off and on for the State of Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education as a Records Clerk and Customer Service Specialist. She began working for the City and Borough of Juneau in 1997 as a Legal Secretary in the Law Department and then became the Deputy Clerk in January 2000. She received her Certified Municipal Clerk’s designation December 2004 and has been an active member of the Alaska Association of Municipal Clerks (AAMC) and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC). |
