IV. Juneau Festival Committee (p. 5)
The Juneau Festival Committee is requesting the same level of funding as in FY12, $33,000, which is the amount in the FY13 and FY14 Proposed Budgets.

A letter from Mr. Ron Flint with the Juneau Festival Committee’s FY13 request is included in the packet.

A representative from the committee will be available to answer questions.

V. Douglas Fourth of July Committee (no pages)
The Douglas Fourth of July Committee is requesting the same level of funding as in FY12, $3,500, which is the amount in the FY13 and FY14 Proposed Budgets.

A representative from the committee will be available to answer questions.

VI. Juneau Arts and Humanities Council (pp. 6 - 27)
The Juneau Arts and Humanities Council (JAHC) is requesting the same level of funding as in FY12, $175,800, which is the amount in the FY13 and FY14 Proposed Budgets.

The packet includes the request letter from Nancy DeCherney, JAHC Executive Director, along with supplemental information on JAHC activities, the JAHC 5-year Strategic Action Plan, re-granting procedures, a summary of past grant requests and awards, JAHC financial reports, and the current board members.

Ms. DeCherney will present their request and information on JAHC activities.

VII. Juneau Small Business Development Center (pp. 28 - 31)
The Juneau Small Business Development Center (JSBDC) is requesting $55,000, which is $25,000 more than the FY12 funding. The FY13 and FY14 Proposed Budgets contain funding at $30,000, which is the FY12 amount.

The packet includes the request letter from Debi Fowler, Alaska Small Business Development Center State Director, along with a summary of the FY11 JSBDC impact in Juneau and three Juneau success stories.

Ms. Fowler will present their request and information on JSBDC activities.

VIII. Property Assessment Update (no pages)
All borough real and personal property is valued each January 1 for taxation purposes. The CBJ Assessor, Robin Potter, will provide an overview to the Committee of the real and business personal property assessment process and the property assessed value changes between 2011 and 2012.

The Assessor's overview was distibuted at the meeting. Information on the mill levy and taxpayer impacts was also distributed.
