Historical Information

Built on the site of the old Heidelburg Building. Property purchased by Gunnar Blomgren in 1924 after a fire destroyed previous structure. Blomgren built the current structure to house his "Sanitary Grocery" business. In 1931, a second story was added and divided into three apartments and two office suites. The second floor offices housed Kaser and Freebuerger, Dentists, and DuPont Power Company. The first floor was occupied by the "Sanitary Grocery" and "Sanitary Meat Market"
