General Description

"This is a wood frame, one-and-one-half story nearly square structure (25' x 22.5') with a gable roof covered with delta rib metal roofing. It has a fractured rock foundation with masonry coating. Exterior walls are clad with coursed wood shingle siding. Architectural features include a shed-roofed dormer on each side of the gable roof, double-hung windows and roof covered entries on the side and front gables. It retains its architectural integrity and is a contributing element to the architectural and historic unity of the neighborhood. It is a contributing building within the Chicken Ridge Historic District. "

Historical Information

The Dapcevitch family built this home and Marko Dapcevitch occupied the house. Marko Dapcevitch worked at the A.J. Mine reduction mill.
