General Description

"A wood frame, one-and-one-half story rectangular structure (32' x 26.5'), it has a side gable roof system covered with delta rib metal roofing and a concrete foundation with a full basement. The exterior walls are clad with coursed wood shingle siding. Architectural elements include an enclosed shed roof side entrance and double-hung windows with wide trim. A deck was added to the north side. It retains its architectural integrity and remains contributing element to the architectural and historic unity of the neighborhood. It is a contributing building within the Chicken Ridge Historic District."

Historical Information

Jack Koby was one of the home’s earliest residents. He worked as a bulldozer operator for the A.J. Mine. The first house built on this site was reportedly taken out by a snow slide.
