General Description

"This two-story rectangular structure measures 50' x 18'. It has a gable roof covered with delta rib metal and a concrete foundation with a full basement. The exterior walls are clad with coursed wood shingle siding. Architectural elements include gable front, and shed roof entry porch and a wood paneled door. The windows are both fixed and slide-by. A deck and garage have been added, however, despite the additions, the house retains its architectural integrity and is a contributing element to the architectural and historic unity of the neighborhood. It is a contributing structure in the Chicken Ridge Historic District. "

Historical Information

"George Baggen is reported to have lived here in the 1920s. Baggen worked as a Federal prohibition agent and tugboat captain. In 1939, Russell Clithero, agent for the Alaska Coastal Airlines, lived in the building. "
