Additional Information

General Description

"The original building burned to the foundation on June 1, 2009. The current structure built on the original concrete foundation is a craftsman style building architecturally sympathetic with other Basin Road houses and the streetscape. It has a steeply pitched gable roof, a shed roofed wall dormer, multipaned double-hung windows with wide trims and a shed roof appendage. Exterior walls are clad in coursed wood shingles. Although it is a noncontributing structure because of its recent construction, it does not intrude on the architectural and historic unity of the neighborhood. It is a noncontributing structure within the Chicken Ridge Historic District. "

Historical Information

"George Dull and his family occupied the original structure. Dull was a pioneer resident of Juneau, a miner and contractor.j Later the Davis family occupied the home. It was destroyed by fire on June 1, 2009 and the current structure was built on the original foundation. "
