"The wood frame structure measures 33’ x 23’. It has a steeply pitched gable roof covered with composition shingles, and a partial basement with a stucco finish. The composition shingle siding has been replaced with wood siding. The front gable features a fixed sash window with sidelights, a polygonal window and a small porch. It retains its architectural integrity. "

"Augustus Brown, a prosperous Juneau Business man, owned this property for over 50 years. He is particularly remembered because when he died in 1949, he left $30,000 for the construction of Juneau’s first indoor pool that bears his name today. "
