Capital City Fire/RescueResidential Structure Fire - 3038 MountainwoodOn November 2, 2012 at approximately 09:54 hours CCFR responded to a reported structure fire at 3038 Mountainwood Circle. Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming out of the roof eaves and some flame on the rear portion of the structure. Firefighters made entry into the home and quickly extinguished the fire which had extended into the attic space. An investigation revealed that the cause was most likely due to smoking materials. Damage was estimated at $20,000.00. According to the CBJ Assessor database, the single story structure was built in 1978 and is valued at $216,000.00 . The residents were not home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. |
