Capital City Fire/Rescue7-5-2012 Residential Structure Fire 4043 Mitchell WayOn Thursday, July 5, 2012 at approximately 8:30 PM, Capital City Fire Rescue responded to 4043 Mitchell Way off of Valley Boulevard for a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a two story single family home with light smoke and steam from the roof. The fire was located in the attic space above the living room and was quickly extinguished. The cause of the fire was determined to be the woodstove chimney and its proximity to wood roof rafters. There were no injuries reported and the home is insured. Captial City Fire Rescue would like to remind everyone to have working smoke alarms in their homes and to clean and inspect your woodstove chimneys at elast once a year. |
