Capital City Fire/Rescue8-4-2011 Residential Structure FireOn Thursday, August 4, 2011 at approximately 11:30 pm. Capital City Fire Rescue responded to 4542 Trafalgar Avenue for a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 20 foot by 70 foot mobile home with smoke showing from the front and side roof eaves. Fire personnel quickly extingushed a small fire in the laundry room. The fire started to spread towards the adjacent kitchen as well. All occupants safely evacuated after being alerted by their smoke alarm. There were no injuries reported. The damage is estimated at approximately $10,000.00 and the home is insured. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental and caused by combustible materials being too close to a heat source. The occupants recieved help from the American Red Cross.
