SPECIAL MEETING NO. 99-02:
The special meeting of the City and Borough of Juneau Assembly, held in the Assembly Chambers of the Municipal Building, was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Dennis Egan.Assembly Present: Garrett (arrived 5:05), Kibby, MacKinnon, Perkins, Powell, Egan, Hagevig, Muņoz, Koelsch (arrived 5:03).
Assembly Absent: None
A quorum was present.
Staff Present: Marian Miller, Municipal Clerk; John Corso, City Attorney; John Hartle, City Attorney; Cheryl Easterwood, CDD Director; Gary Gillette, CDD Planner.
Ms. Hagevig was the presiding officer for this appeal. The Appellant, Steve Landvik, was represented by Murray Walsh. The Planning Commission decision was defended by Ms. Cheryl Easterwood, the CDD Director. The appellee intervenor, the Downtown Neighborhood Association, was represented by Mr. Doug Larson.
Each side was allowed 30 minutes to argue their respective cases. The appellant could reserve time for rebuttal. The appellee and appellee intervenors shared their total time. The Assembly was given the opportunity to ask questions of each presenter. No witnesses were called in this proceeding.

Assembly Action
Ms. Hagevig announced that the Assembly, as a quasi-judicial body, had not reached a conclusion in this appeal and they would reconvene after the regular meeting to continue to deliberate the issue.
