Transit Development Plan

Capital Transit has set the standard as an affordable, convenient, and environmentally-friendly transportation option for over 1 million riders annually. With a strong patronage comes a need to continue to assess the quality and functionality of those services provided. Given that the last evaluation of Capital Transit was performed in 1996, the current assessment is overdue. Capital Transit values its customers and is providing the community an opportunity to help identify future transit improvements and adjustments.

As part of the City and Borough’s Downtown Circulator Feasibility Study, Transit Development and Coordinated Human Services Plans, Capital Transit has launched a Borough-wide community involvement effort. The process aims to gain insight as to the travel needs of Juneau residents through a variety of methods.
