A. Resolution 2466           Alaska Commission on Aging 2009 Priorities
A Resolution Supporting The Alaska Commission On Aging 2009 Priorities And Urging The Alaska Legislature To Implement These Priorities.

Alaska now has the fastest growing senior population of all 50 states. In planning for the future of Alaska’s seniors, the Alaska Commission on Aging has developed 2009 Legislative Priorities. The Juneau Commission on Aging reviewed and endorsed the 2009 Legislative Priorities at its meeting on March 12. The Juneau Commission also requested that the Assembly adopt a resolution of support for the priorities, to be submitted to the Alaska Legislature for its consideration and implementation. This resolution is a statement of the Assembly’s support for the priorities, and upon adoption it will be submitted to the Juneau legislative delegation and the Alaska Legislature.

I recommend that this resolution be adopted.
