Jeannie Johnson, Airport Manager

Airport Manager Jeannie Johnson comes from a pioneer Alaskan family. Her grandparents moved to Alaska in 1947 followed by her parents in 1952. She was raised in Anchorage.

Jeannie combines her experience in real estate and aviation in her management of Juneau International Airport. She worked 30 years in the private sector as the owner of a real estate business specializing in property management and commercial real estate. Then she transitioned into Airport Management as a senior airport leasing officer for Alaska DOT, Statewide Aviation. She learned to fly at Merrill Field in Anchorage and earned her private pilots license in 1983. She flies a Cessna 172.

Jeannie’s four years of service on the Juneau International Airport Board of Directors gave her a solid background in the operations and projects of the airport. She continued her service to the community and the airport when she was elected to the City and Borough of Juneau Assembly and served as the liaison to the Airport Board for three years.
